Complexity: Medium

Description

We had a short discussion about the problem with Earthlook and this is just a summary plus some ideas.

So it is best to keep it updated with new patches from the stable package is built, then Earthlook also will be updated accordingly.

After that we could run the test: copy the requests from Earthlook for each services (WCS, WMS, WCPS, Rasql) as a script and run it, ideally hourly by cron and send an email when it has error. So, when one wants to demo the feature in front of others, it should be confident without unexpected error from RasServer/Petascope?.

  • Component changed from undecided to systemtest
  • Resolution set to fixed
  • Status changed from new to closed
  • Summary changed from Install stable rasdaman automatically and add the tests in Earthlook client to run daily to Test Earthlook web GUI by Selenium

There is a java application is built to test Earthlook GUI by Selenium (http://codereview.rasdaman.org/diffusion/17/). It needs to be setup as a crontab on Kahluah to test the web daily. It imitates the user's behavior with clicking on buttons to get results, then captures the web images and compare with the oracle images with similarity ~95%.

Can you provide instructions on how to set it up? Best as a README in the repository.

Replying to dmisev:

I will ask you about how you run as crontab to put on README file.
